Madison and Scott's spring Terrain wedding was one for the inspo boards. Their garden location was filled with foliage and spring blooms. Allison and the team at Terrain, was top notch from keeping everyone on schedule, replanting the flower wall the day before, updating me when there were extra minutes for photos, as well as getting the bride and groom a charcuterie board and drinks immediately following their ceremony. Allison even called me before I was home to let me know that I had left a piece of equipment. Madison got to have an outdoor wedding ceremony with the stunning gazebo, which we used for formal portraits when it was dark.
This was the second wedding that I photographed for Scott's family. His sister Becca was married at Rosewood Farms a few years back. Check that wedding out here. This wedding took place on a very important day. March 31st. This is my anniversary and Madison thought I might not want to photograph their wedding on my anniversary. I can see their point, however, I loved being married in March and watching their family and friends celebrate them made me remember my wedding. It was not a surprise that Scott's family wished me a happy anniversary throughout their day.
This is one of my favorite photos from the day! This is Scott's dad tying his tie. When Scott's sister got married, Scott's dad also tied the tie for his future son in law and I photographed it. These moments unfold organically and it is such a sweet reminder of how parents show up for their kids.
