Vanderwende Acres is one of the newest wedding venues in Seaford, Delaware with breathtaking views and detailed rustic charm. This Sussex County bride and groom were able to be married outside of the Vanderwende barn on a beautiful sunny day. This 1930s authentic barn and has been so intentionally planned with your wedding photos in mind.
My favorite detail, although there were many, was when the couple branded their Bible. Married by the bride's youth pastor, they chose to start their married life with a Bible that would be marked with their beginning. Cattle branding is when a distinct unique design is seared to identify the owner of the animal. They had their cattle brand made and it was warmed during the ceremony by the groom's father. The bride slipped on her leather gloves and together they imprinted their Bible. The bride had the same brand on the leather wrapped around her bouquet.
The 1930s, climate controled, barn has was a great backdrop for the groom and his groomsmen and even has a Groomsmen's Mancave. The mancave was a great place for the guys to get ready, hidden away from the bride. The groomsmen had a blast in their space and then we used the indoor barn for his portraits.
The barn also made the perfect backdrop for one of my favorite photos. I could photograph weddings here all year and still have several new places to photograph!
One piece of wedding advice for you - invite friends that will love you as well as these friends do! They made the wedding day so special and were so excited for their friends.
